I love feral Ford. It is so plausible.

Humans are very adaptable and when you throw one into a life or death situation they just become savage. Civilized people don’t go about thinking how if someone attacks you, teeth and nails are the best option.

Before Ford has a gun and cool tech he was probably a scrappy fighter.

If you’ve ever been in a fight like that, or witnessed one, you know how vicious humans can be. And dang do we keep swinging.

We’ll fight through blood loss, broken bones and anything else that gets thrown at us. And we recover, quick.

Ford getting into a fight and having to retreat. They come after him, but in that brief period of time Ford has gathered enough energy/resolve to dive right back in. It would be such a surprise.

We are kinda squishy, but we are the most dangerous thing on our planet. People are afraid of sharks. Sharks don’t attack without reason. Shark attacks are them confusing people with food.

We make weapons to fight each other, we purposefully attack one another, we conquered the world. We forced ourselves to the top of the food chain.

Desperate humans are dangerous humans. Most of us know basic survival strategies. Know how to throw a punch. And the daker stuff.

Taking a chunk of someone’s face off with you teeth is possible. Most people couldn’t bring themselves to do it. But we can. A lot of that reluctance comes from it being another human. No qualms when its an alien trying to kill you.

Ford definitely killed some people on the other side of the portal. Some by his own physical hands.
